Scientific Link Between Stress and Difficulty Becoming Pregnant

A woman's fecundity, or her likelihood of becoming pregnant during a menstrual cycle, may be impacted by stress, according to recent research. Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica will publish the study today, September 21. In obstetrics and gynecology, fecundability refers to the likelihood of getting pregnant during a single menstrual cycle, and fecundity refers to the likelihood of giving birth to a live child within a single cycle. The study, which evaluated the participants' allostatic loads, included 444 women who were trying to get pregnant. The "wear and tear" caused by recurring stress and traumatic life events is referred to as allostatic load. Based on nine indications including blood pressure, cortisol, blood sugar, noradrenaline, and cholesterol, women with higher allostatic load scores had a lower likelihood of getting pregnant within a year. Gardening Lowers Stress, Anxiety, and Depression – Even if You Haven’t Gardened Before

Many seasoned gardeners will tell you that their favorite place to be is in the garden. A recent study found that many people, including those who have never gardened before, may benefit from dealing with plants. In a study that was published in the journal PLoS ONE, researchers from the University of Florida found that gardening activities decreased stress, anxiety, and melancholy in healthy women who took twice-weekly gardening instruction. None of the study participants had ever cultivated a garden. "Previous research has demonstrated that gardening can help persons with medical issues or difficulties enhance their mental health. According to Charles Guy, the study's lead author and a professor emeritus in the UF/IFAS environmental horticulture department, gardening can improve the mental wellbeing of healthy people as well.
